Music, Memories and Manifestation

Bluebell Child

Who I have Become

I’m Jade Elizabeth Taylor — singer, songwriter, and now, finally, author. I’ve been writing songs about the human heart for longer than I care to admit, from the folk clubs of Vancouver to the speakeasies of New York and the stages of California, now from a small bungalow in Tameside where I walk my Jackapoo Loki every morning and find the next song in the space between his footsteps and mine.

My music is folk, jazz, blues, and Americana — unhurried and honest. My debut album Shades of Jade was made with extraordinary musicians including Grammy Award-winning cellist Barry Phillips and the luminous Allison Russell and the Guitar master that is Glenn MacPhearson. Songs like Kindness, Bluebell Child, and What Would You Do were built to be sung in kitchens and carried in pockets.

I’m releasing new music now — one song a month, beginning with a brand new Americana version of Bluebell Child. Each release comes with original artwork and a little piece of the story behind it.

JedaVu is my home. You’re welcome here.
