This photo was taken on my Mom's 70th birthday in front of the same house she calls home today  My Nana (her mom) lived to be 93 and a half so we have told her that she has to live at least that long. Some days she wants to make it to 100, other days she is choosing what she will wear in her coffin. That's June. 
 Last year I was Mum's full time caregiver and now we have wonderful carers who stay with her and I get to simply be her daughter again - take her on outings like the summer fair we visited at a local library just this weekend.   
I am so proud to be the daughter of this amazing woman.  We are so much alike in so many ways.  I know without a shadow of a doubt that she loves me and she is proud of me and the one sadness we both have is that I do not have a daughter of my own so the lineage ends with me.
